Mustang Makes A Movie
http://www.vimeo.com/25295668
A cheers to Mustang.
What great skills on display.
And it's a good thing too because her bundting was somewhat below par. She had Adam "Winky" Wurtzel hand JC a bag with the bundt in it. And that was it. Like I said: lackluster...

And it returns. (The blog goes off the rails)
After a respite of silence born out of circumstances that I feel require at the very lest a momentary explanation, in just a few short sentences the bundt blog will begin again. But first, the tale of what kept it off the web for the last several weeks. It all began when your Dutiful Correspondent Of Confection was violently abducted by a band of anti-bundt pirates and assassins in the Dunkin Donuts parking lot. They were surprisingly cordial, but forced me to eat square cake, and renounce all cakes in circular form. At first I refused and was beaten. But after the twentieth day, with no food and only small rations of water served from exclusively square glasses, I finally gave in and sorrowfully ate their dreadful square cake. The bandits thought they had won but having suddenly regained my strength from the cake, I broke free of my manacles (in a majestic display!) and made a break for the door. On my way out I threw the four Chinese Throwing Stars I had stashed in my socks at my captor’s jugulars and killed them without mercy.
I’m home now and safe, with the ability to eat round cake again, thank God. And so now that we’ve gotten through that traumatic experience together you and I, and maybe now that we’re a little closer for it, let’s get back to the bundt happenings. When last we left, before all this unpleasantness, I had just been bundted. And so with the bundt in my possession and charged with creating a performance: here’s what happened.
I knew that to create a bundt performance that would capture not only the true spirit of the bundt but also incorporate my very narrow skill set, I would have to “make a little video.” With a weekend off in Brooklyn and my Bundt pan in toe, I attempted to make the most cliché art film possible with a bundt-centric theme. Here is me introducing the bundt film:
The cake itself was nothing to write home about. But it was an extension of my presentation. Pain and disorganization, and it had Gatsby 2 Go written on it. Behold:
So then I was charged with bundting someone. With no real plan in my head and the bnudting deadline rapidly approaching I brought the pan into the field with vague hopes of an unveiling of some kind. We were filming at Gigi's home in a scene that required going through her childhood mementos. While looking for a proper box that looked old enough, a box that could convey "I contain childhood keepsakes" it struck me. The pan would go in the box. I packed it in without anyone knowing, instructed Gigi's mother to bundt Gi and we sent her into scene. When opening the box for the first time Gloria opened the box and much to the surprise of everyone on set Gloria said "Gigi, you've been bundt!" And Gigi had been bundted.
Then time started moving really fast and everything turned into a big blur--so much so that apparently getting photos of bundtings, bundt cakes and performances became impossible due to the speed of it...time that is.
Gigi delivered a bundt performance in the Cafe of the Ave with Tracy, an homage to My Big Fat Greek Wedding. It was somewhat enjoyable.
Then she bundted Kuba and Kuba delivered possibly the shortest bundt presentation in history, keeping with who Kuba is: a concise man, saying simply "This is my bundt," as he placed the cake out for the consumption of the delighted crew. It should be noted that it was possibly also the tastiest bundt ever-- a delicious spiced cake with a butter rum sauce. And then Kuba bundted Geo through Gayle one night and then Geo made another delicious cake and unto Enoch was born Irad: and Irad begat Mehujael: and Mehujael begat Methusael: and Methusael begat Lamech. And so on.
Geo then delivered his bundt during the Multicultural hair show and his bundt was also crazy delicous (not unlike Mr Pibb and Red Vines). We had to wait a moment to eat it because there was a plane flying over us, but it was good none-the-less.
Geo then created a fake scene to show as the gang all watched their Infomercial. And in this fake video, Ant had been bundted. Geo bundted Ant. On TV!
And now as a reprieve from all this silly words, here's a video of Ant's Bundt performance:
Ant then bundted Katie (AC). Katie battled an epic Superhero slow-mo Jerseylicous vs Jersey Shore battle in the salon that Monday, with the Jerserylicious inspired superhero eventaully defeating the Jersey Shore super villian. And in the process Katie bundted Mustang.
And that is what happened.

Easter Bundt and Beyond
The bundt pan continues to make its steadfast march, like Rommel through the desert, among cast and crew here in cusp-of-spring New Jersey as three more bundts have occurred since last we left off… But not to worry. Each and every moment of bundt-currances will shortly be relayed to you oh loyal blog reader. The minutia of each bundting and the subsequent performance will be relived for you in what 7/10 of the coveted, Men 18-34 age demographic, agree is the best way to relay any live event: pictures and words. So let’s write some words.
When we last left off, James had been text-bundted by Filly in a bundt which some mused may indeed be “A bundt for the 21st Century.” That “some” in question may or may not simply just be what I posted last entry, but either way, when the dust settled and the cake batter cooked: James had been bundted. To introduce his bundt, James welcomed to the stage his similarly talented, wunderkind cousin and Production Assistant extraordinaire, Leanne. For those who don’t know, Leanne has a set of pipes that can make a cathedral pipe organ blush and has been known to belt out Red Cadillac versions of Queen’s “Somebody to Love” when so moved by... the spirits. Presenting his Easter-themed bundt, James and Leanne performed a choreographed tap-dance routine and song with clever lyrics which culminated in the revealing of their bundt cake. Behold:
During the next week of production at some point, James stole into the bedroom of Casting AP Keith Olsen in what I imagine was a very sneaky maneuver, probably involving sneakers. Additionally there have been some unconfirmed reports claiming a ski mask, a grappling hook, flash bombs, ninjas, and WMDs were also used to penetrate to Keith's sleeping quarters, where James then placed the bundt pan gingerly on Keith's pillow, left a note, and made haste stealthily into the night...
That following Salon Monday Keith delivered a rousing Jersey Bundt Speech borrowing heavily from Dr. Martin Luther King's "I have a dream" speech. Holding court over the amazed onlookers of The Gatsby, Keith dreamed of a world where those with spray tans and those who don't spray tan can finally get along together.
Keith has a dream.
And that dream involves the tanned and untanned getting along together on the surface of a bundt cake that looks like this:
And so during the following week on a night that involved filming at a bowling alley, Keith came up with a clever and inclusive way to pass the bundt; a way in which everyone could feel the anxiety of the bundt without having to fully experience the act itself. When A Team arrived at the first location of the night the walkie case was laying in wait for everyone, it didn't discriminate. And we were all greeted with a sign on the outside of the walkie case. Ominously it warned "Someone's Walkie has been BUNDTED! If you can't find your walkie--guess what--you are bundted." As your dogged reporter of bundt happenings I was of course on the scene. As I approached the walkie case my pulse quickened and my breath become irregular. A single bead of sweat rolled languidly down the side of my temple. I pulled open the lid to reveal the bundt pan with one walkie taped inside the pan with it's name obscured. Frantically I dug through the walkies. No sight of my walkie. I checked again. Nothing. Sheepishly I peeled back the tape on the walkie in the pan to reveal my name.
I had been bundted.

The Bundt and all its circular-cake glory returned to the field with a presentation at the Gatsby Salon on an overcast east coast Monday. Our very own Jerseylicious Cycle 3 Band was in full effect for the occasion performing a fab-u-lous version of the Jerseylicious theme song. On keys: James Valletti, rocking out on acoustic guitar: Crisitna Bishai, and on vocals: Chapman Riedel. The band was, of course, each wearing a top belonging to cast member Olivia.
Upon the presentation of the bundt itself (a decked out Global Domination Jerseylicious cake) Alex Duda detailed the storied history of the bundt, the importance of the unbroken bundt chain, and the ground rules. The cake was then presented with proper pomp to Gayle.
And then everyone ate the cake. And it was delicious. (Except the people who didn’t get any cake. Those people did not know it was delicious).
Later that week cast member Filipo was bundted by Alex during a scene, using Anthony as her secret agent in the field. Hiding the bundt pan under his sweatshirt, looking like a healthy round gut, Anthony entered the scene and surprised everyone by manifesting the bundt and bequeathing the pan to Filly. (For those of you in post, this was caught on tape, so enjoy the clever bundting!)
The next bundt presentation occurred the following Monday with another spectacular number performed by the Official Jerseylicious Cycle 3 Band (now performing under the name: Yo Cuz and The All Drama Mammas). Filly emerged twirling pizza dough in his usual energetic fashion and presented his delicious Nutella bundt to cast and crew. All rejoiced.
The week begin to wind into the weekend and as the days passed concern quickly spread through the J3 camp as to the whereabouts of the bundt. Whispers spread. "Has Filly bundted anyone yet?" The citizens of The Ave in bucolic Union, NJ were nervous. They knew what secret powers the bundt held and the dire consequences of a botched bundt. They knew that was at stake and in the PO they wondered to themselves and out loud: "We know....but does Filly?"
Official Jerseylicious Cycle 3 Band pianist James V, who also just so happens to be the Talent Supervisor for the show, sent Filly a short reminder text, something innocuous along the lines of "Hey Filly, have you bundted anyone?"
Here is Filly's text reply:
And so then James was bundted. Possibly the first ever text-bundting? A bundting for the 21st century? The future of bundting? Straight forgetfulness?
Regardless the circumstances, rest assured: the bundt chain remains unbroken.

Fashion Week Bundt
As Mercedes Benz Fashion Week (formally New York Fashion Week) and New Jersey Fashion Week (formally existing only in Alexa's mind) arrived, the Jerseylicious cameras were there to catch all the drama.
Inspired by these two events, Dalzell went back to his elementary school days, clipped magazine photos, and pasted the heads of the cast into models' bodies. These new 2.0 Jerseylicious characters looked even more frightening than the real people...
The cake, however, was delicious. Chris baked a Red Velvet cake, with a slight tinge of peppermint flavor, and topped it off with homemade vanilla icing.
After the figures had been removed from the cake, and hidden out of sight for fear of frightening visitors, the Jerseylicious crew dug in and enjoyed this festive bundt.
