Girl Power

Tamara and Lane dedicated their bundts to some of the stronger, feminine personalities within the two shows.

Tamara devoted her bundt to the commanding matriarch Cathy Giove and her love of marble floors with a marble bundt cake.  She also pitted Mrs. Giove against Gatsby owner Gayle to see who would be the queen of the Jersey salon world.

Lane, ever so adorably, created a mini Alexa bundt cake because, honestly, don’t we all need a mini Alexa?  The white bundt was expertly decorated with blue and pink frosting for mini Alexa’s dress.  Naturally nuts were the preferred garnish as, well, Alexa is a little… ohh, you know.

As the week went on, Chryss found the scarlet B painted upon her door and knew her time to bake was near.  Mike was then given a confidential bundt FedEx in an ever so sneaky passing of the pan.

Wedding Bells & Glitter Trash Bags

Sadly, I currently don’t have any pictures from the week of Zoughi and Kerry’s bundts, but we shall try to correct that, ASAP.

Zoughi’s bundt was a vanilla wedding cake themed bundt as a tribute to Blake’s weekend engagement.

Kerry’s bundt was an ode to a conversation between Glam Fairy Stylists Briella and Jessica where they referred to themselves as being “Glitter Trash Bags”.

Later in the week, Tamara and Lane were bundted.

Religion and Money

It was another Glam filled week in the Bundt world the week of Dawn and Laila’s bundting.

photo 2

Dawn’s theme was the Money Bundt, which she graciously presented by showering us all with totally real c-notes (I may be remembering that wrong).

The bundt was all about the Benjamins and, as if that wasn’t enough to make you drool, beneath the appropriate green glaze was a spiced pumpkin cake.  It was soo money (get it?? …And thus concludes the Urban Dictionary-infused portion of this post).

Laila decided to acknowledge what many of us in the Glam Fairy & Jerseylicious world ask ourselves everyday:  What would Alexa do?

photo 4

Because, yes, some tough decisions are left up to the teachings and practices of religious and cultural icons… but really, when it comes down to it, there are those situations that would be better left in the hands of The Glam Fairy herself.  Laila’s bracelet bundt is a reminder for those times.

Because decadent is pretty much how our girl rolls, the cake is red velvet with a fun and attention grabbing yellow cream cheese frosting.

Later in the week, Zoughi and Kerry were the ceremonious recipients of the bundt pans.

Two Pair

The week of Michelle and Mark’s (err… Huckleberry’s!) bundts brought us not one, but two cakes per each person (that’s four total, for those of you keeping score).

Michelle’s bundts displayed the Glam Factory’s penchant for fabulous makeovers with a “Before and After” theme.

Betty Bundt’s  “Before” look was a vanilla walnut cake (dyed blue, because clearly she was a bit depressed over her current state) with a yellow “jaundiced skin” frosting (more appetizing than you’d expect, I promise!).  Enter the Glam Factory team and you get the more polished “After” look of a chocolate/chocolate chip cake with pretty pink frosting.  Delicious!

Mark decided to let bundtee Huckleberry choose the cake theme and naturally he paid homage to his favorite character: Alexa’s dog Roo, aka Baby Jesus.

The visage of Roo, aka Baby Jesus and the accompanying dog bone were fashioned out of funfetti cupcakes and rainbow chip frosting.  Luckily, no animals were harmed in the consumption of these delectable and adorable treats!

Later in the week, Laila and Dawn were bundted.  Dawn had the special privilege of being bundted with one of the most provocative and moving works of art of our time:

Work It

photo 1

There are two different ways to ‘work it’ in Jersey and Tia and Laura covered them both with their delightfully creative bundts.

photo 3

Tia’s vanilla cake was ingeniously decorated as a weight plate, because everyone knows if you want to attract the honies, ya gotta hit the gym .  She also included two fondant covered doughnuts connected with a cake dowel to make a barbell and complete the Jersey gym theme.

Laura, too, got super creative with her chocolate bundt with vanilla frosting.  She went and got herself some edible paper to glam up her cake animal print style.  And if that wasn’t working it enough, she topped the whole thing off with edible glitter and encrusted the entire ensemble with some jolly rancher jewels.

At the end of the week Huckleberry’s (Mark’s dog) bowl was replaced with the bundt pan and soon Shelly found herself bundted as well.
