A whole cavalcade of Bundt happenings have occurred over the past few weeks, regrettably, without dutiful reporting. So here’s a recap:

The Bundt and all its circular-cake glory returned to the field with a presentation at the Gatsby Salon on an overcast east coast Monday. Our very own Jerseylicious Cycle 3 Band was in full effect for the occasion performing a fab-u-lous version of the Jerseylicious theme song. On keys: James Valletti, rocking out on acoustic guitar: Crisitna Bishai, and on vocals: Chapman Riedel. The band was, of course, each wearing a top belonging to cast member Olivia.

Upon the presentation of the bundt itself (a decked out Global Domination Jerseylicious cake) Alex Duda detailed the storied history of the bundt, the importance of the unbroken bundt chain, and the ground rules. The cake was then presented with proper pomp to Gayle.

And then everyone ate the cake. And it was delicious. (Except the people who didn’t get any cake. Those people did not know it was delicious).

Later that week cast member Filipo was bundted by Alex during a scene, using Anthony as her secret agent in the field. Hiding the bundt pan under his sweatshirt, looking like a healthy round gut, Anthony entered the scene and surprised everyone by manifesting the bundt and bequeathing the pan to Filly. (For those of you in post, this was caught on tape, so enjoy the clever bundting!)

The next bundt presentation occurred the following Monday with another spectacular number performed by the Official Jerseylicious Cycle 3 Band (now performing under the name: Yo Cuz and The All Drama Mammas). Filly emerged twirling pizza dough in his usual energetic fashion and presented his delicious Nutella bundt to cast and crew. All rejoiced.

The week begin to wind into the weekend and as the days passed concern quickly spread through the J3 camp as to the whereabouts of the bundt. Whispers spread. "Has Filly bundted anyone yet?" The citizens of The Ave in bucolic Union, NJ were nervous. They knew what secret powers the bundt held and the dire consequences of a botched bundt. They knew that was at stake and in the PO they wondered to themselves and out loud: "We know....but does Filly?"

Official Jerseylicious Cycle 3 Band pianist James V, who also just so happens to be the Talent Supervisor for the show, sent Filly a short reminder text, something innocuous along the lines of "Hey Filly, have you bundted anyone?"

Here is Filly's text reply:

"Warning! You have officially been bundted buy your cake mix and have it ready for tomorrow you will recurve (sic) the bundt in the am tootaloo. Happy bundting cuzin Jimmy hahh."

And so then James was bundted. Possibly the first ever text-bundting? A bundting for the 21st century? The future of bundting? Straight forgetfulness?

Regardless the circumstances, rest assured: the bundt chain remains unbroken.
