Double Glammy

As the newbie in the office, I've been briefed on the weight and severity of the Bundt Blog. Really, it's the most important responsibility I have and Devon has left some big shoes to fill (I heard she won a Pulitzer). So I beg of you to be kind as I learn the ins and outs of this confection correspondence.

Now I suppose our Glam Fairy team was feeling a teeny bit left out because they brought their A-game this week. To show that they don't fool around, we were graced by not one, but two bundts!

Jen’s ode to the Glam Factory is an impressive and whimsical feat of engineering.  Like a sandcastle you made as a child on the beach, but with enough flair and sassy pink icing to make it fit for a princess.  Albeit a gaudy one, but would we have it any other way?

Tai went a more minimalistic and utilitarian route with his make-up compact bundt, complete with a mirror for a midday touch-up.  However, there was nothing simplistic about the red velvet cake beneath that vanilla frosting.  Bright colors and decadence?  It’s like Jersey heaven up in here!

Later in the week Tia and Laura learned a very important lesson when it comes to being bundted:

Having a birthday makes you a walking target.

Whisky A-Gastby

Trust the pregnant lady to make the alcohol bundt! After carefully considering each and every cast member, Virginia realized that our Jerseylicious cast was short one role. We've included many salon stereotypes: bald hairdresser, flirtatious hair washer/intern, brightly colored make-up artist etc. But someone (or something) was missing.

Finally struck with inspiration, Virginia realized that Jerseylicious isn't missing a cast member, but simply overlooking one who has kept out of the spotlight. Jack. Jack Daniels.


Jack hasn't been a very vocal cast member, but he has been present in many scenes; and has especially been a silent supporter of Interviews. Jack's also been a great friend to many of us in post when Friday night rolls around (or an especially rough Tuesday morning).

Virigina's whiskey-soaked bundt was a welcome treat for us on Monday morning, and now Jack's presence will no longer be over-looked.

For a surprise Friday afternoon treat, Virginia dropped this off in Tai's car


Jack was probably waiting for Tai underneath the bundt pan.

Blueberry Balls

There are two types of chemistry in this world, and Matt decided to combine the chemistry of science and baking with the chemistry of love for his Bundt Cake.

We all know that Filly's tanned body and arched eyebrows can woo any female in the Tri-State area, but his charms stumble when up against the sole female who can resist him. Gayle Giacomo remains elusive to his charms and the unrequited love between Filly and his boss is an undercurrent of passion that carries throughout the series.


Matt's aptly titled "Blueberry Balls" cake hints at Filippo's feelings for Gayle by using sweet cream-cheese icing to top off his blueberry cake. Blueberry muffins accompanied his presentation, as the people in Post are very hungry and need multiple cakes to fill our Monday morning stomachs.

Later in the week, Virginia was called in to record some interview bites, and as she was in the edit bay Matt's voice came over the Avid to announce: Virginia you've been bundted!

Jersey Friday

Welcome to the neighborhood! The Post Crew decided to honor our first crew member leaving us (Jon Collins) by dressing in our "Jerseylicious Best".

The Girls were decked out in leopard, snake skin, tye-dye and patterns only Jersey Girls would wear...



Jon might have escaped being bundted this season, but we weren't going to let him go without a fight.


Matt finally let his pecks show through, while Brian and Chris Lovett just dressed up as they would every day of work. Jon was the Anthony to their Lorenzo/Filly/Mikey bromance.

We all practiced our best Jersey scowls:

Perhaps not everyone will miss Jon, as Sarah shows us how she really feels...

A Foot for a Foot

Unfortunately I was not present for Brian's brilliant bundting bonanza; however I heard that it was a morning to remember.

Brian is constantly inspired, as many of us are, by the minor dislike between our two cast members, Tracy and Olivia. We had the classic Sonic spit-fight in Season 2, but we soon learned that everything has been leading up to the now infamous Kick in the Head.


Brian crafted a Vegan Mint Chocolate Cake for the crew to enjoy, and spent some extra time on a vixen-red pedicure. When I arrived back at work on Tuesday, the foot remained (toes and toenail polish intact).

Now, onto Brian's bundting. Never one to be outdone, Brian inserted himself into one of Jerseylicious' classic scenes: Dinner with the Bugliones.


After a lengthy conversation, complete with stings and eye-rolling, Brian finally turned to the audience and announced: Matt you've been bundted on your birthday!

Notes on Notes Bundt

Blake returned to California, and brought with him a newly christened Bundt Pan. It may be a bundt-pan of a different color (orange) but it serves our purpose just as well.

The first bundt of Jerseylicious Season 3 for the Post Crew was a Notes on Notes Bundt. Blake's signature ALL CAPS notes were spread around the bundt on multi-colored flags. Such classics as "Sting this", "So much traffic" and "No timelapse of clouds" were of course included.


Under the skylight, in a blaze of glory, Blake made the first bundt presentation of Season 3 for Post. We quickly devoured the delicious Key Lime cake, and anxiously awaited who would be Bundted next.

Only days later, Brian McCarthy arrived at work, fresh off a trip to the dentist's office to find this attached to his Avid:


And the Bundt Torch was passed on to Brian...

Mustang Makes A Movie

Even though the circumstances surrounding Mustang's bundting were somewhat suspect, as in: Mustang participated in Katie's bundt presentation and then was bundted during that presentation (this was explained by Katie as "a bundt within a bundt"), Mustang dutifully accepted her calling and took it serious. For realsies serious. Like. Real Serious. And made an awesome movie that was enjoyed by many in the Ave theater. Check out just exactly how serious by watching her entire bundt movie on Vimeo. And it's a good thing too because her bundting was somewhat below par. She had Adam "Winky" Wurtzel hand JC a bag with the bundt in it. And that was it. Like I said: lackluster...
