Long distance bundt

At the May 7 Monday meeting, Chicagolicious story editor Grayson Brooke presented a bundt that was called in via long distance. The show's supervising producer, Jen Metz, had cast member Katrell assist in bundting Grayson over the phone last Friday.

Grayson's dark chocolate bundt cake featured a signature phrase from Chicagolicious cast member Macray - "Owww!" And our post production crew enjoyed every slice down to the last "w".

Jen Metz' Chicago Bundt

Jen Metz presented a delicious chocolate "Chicagolicious" bundt, with photos of members of the cast, and other Chicago sights (including Wrigley Field) atop.

It was delicious, and after it was eaten she brought the toothpick cast members back home to her daughter (who helped her make and decorate the cake) to play with.

Bloodshot Bundt

Story editor James Valletti brought in a "bloodshot bundt" to mark the home stretch of our Jerseylicious Season 4 fun run. At the April 23 morning meeting, James presented a cake decorated to resemble the eyes of many members of our production team during the late stages of the season.

With this being the fun run season, however, funfetti cake was aptly hidden beneath that tired eye.  The final product was both festive and delicious!

tiA-B-C Bundt

Sorry it took so long to post this, but as you can see below, the site was hacked and it caused small hiccup in the progress (and desire to even think about) anything bundt-related!

Now that we're back up and running, Tia enlisted the help of her friend Betty Crocker (mother of Lil Debbie and Duncan Hines) to create a delicious treat.  It was a vanilla bundt decorated with three colors of frosting meant to represent the A-B-C story lines of "Jerseylicious."  The cake was so delicious that no one sent back any notes.

A very von Trier bundt special

For our April 9 bundt presentation, story producer Eva Anderson decided to honor a classic film - Lars von Trier's Antichrist. An Alexa Prisco favorite, Antichrist tells the heartwarming tale of a crazed wife torchering her husband during a couples retreat in the woods.

Adorned with scissors and blood-red icing, this terrifying treat received critical acclaim throughout the office. Fans of the cake are already looking forward to the sequel.

Tamara's Earth Bundt

On Monday 4/2, Tamara made a delicious "Earth Bundt," inspired by Niki, the Salon Receptionist on "Chicagolicious," who has gone on record in interview with a bite as follows:

"Being green is important to me because the environment is important to me...doing our part as humang beings to sustain the planet.  We live here.  We have a responsibility to it.  Sometimes we view the planet as being something nebulous, when in fact it - it is a living, breathing entity.  The grass and the trees represent the hair...the earth is the skin, it has a heartbeat, a central heartbeat.  The earth even has a navel.  Most people don't know that.  And we, as the inhabitants of the earth, have a responsibility to care for our mother.  Hence mother earth."

Below you'll find Tamara's bundt.  Good luck finding the navel.  (And deciphering which country is which...)
